The Akron Zoo is a 50-acre non-profit zoo located just west of downtown in Akron. The Akron Zoo is home to over 700 animals representing over 90 different species.
Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens
Stan Hywet Hall is the twelfth largest estate in the United States. It was built between 1912 and 1915 by F.A. Seiberling, founder of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, and his wife and family. Originally a vast estate of more than 3,000 acres, the remaining 70 acres provide an aura of beauty and color that flow into the natural surroundings. A number of guided tours throughout the impressive hall and gardens are available.
F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm
The park is a special-use area that has been set aside for the study and enjoyment of nature, including the hand-feeding of chickadees. The grounds showcase a suspension bridge over a 45-foot-deep ravine, several gardens, plant identification, observation decks, two ponds, wetlands, hiking trails and a tall-grass prairie.

MAPS Air Museum
MAPS Air Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating people about the history of aviation and its impact upon society. It accomplishes this mission by acquiring, restoring, preserving, studying and exhibiting the impact of aviation on the culture of man.
Canton Classic Car Museum
The museum currently exhibits forty rare and unusual classic and special interest automobiles. The gorgeous vehicles are complemented by the thousands of pieces of historical memorabilia displayed throughout the museum.
Fannie May/Harry London Chocolate Factory Tour
During the 45 minute guided tour, visitors will learn about our rich heritage of making fine chocolates. Tours are free.
Pro Football Hall of Fame
William McKinley Presidential Library and Museum
Museum dedicated to collecting and preserving the significant materials and records related to the history of Stark County and the presidential history of William McKinley. The Hoover Price Planetarium is included in Museum admission and presents public shows Mon. – Sat. at 1pm and Sun. at 2pm.
Boettler Park and Southgate are joined family friendly parks located in the City of Green about 20 minutes south of Akron. Features include two playgrounds, a 1.2 mile asphalt walking trail, tennis, volleyball, basketball courts and soccer fields, protected wetlands and stocked ponds for fishing. Southgate park is a 205 acre tract of property that is great for taking scenic hikes through the uninterrupted wilderness.
